corporate development, M&A, fundraising, strategic partnerships, business
development, sales, marketing and commercial operations within biotechnology, pharmaceutical and service businesses.
From startups to Fortune 100 companies, Darren has a proven ability to drive revenue growth, lead complex transactions, and build high-performing commercial teams. He has held leadership positions most recently at Thermo Fisher, Exothera and as an independent consultant through fractional leadership engagements.
With an extensive deal sheet, Darren has been responsible for over 200 transactions. Having started 5 companies of his own and 3 businesses for larger companies, Darren has raised over $100M in capital in the process.
His therapeutic and diagnostic corporate development experience has covered autoimmune, oncology, cardiovascular, pain, transplant, infectious disease and rare disease markets.
Darren is passionate about advancing biotech innovation through company
building, strategic investments and partnerships.
He holds a BS in Microbiology from Oregon State University and a Master's of Business and Science from Keck Graduate Institute, one of the Claremont Colleges.
